My career journey took me through the exciting world of science (M.Phil. - Nuclear Physics, PhD-Condensed Matter Physics), across many countries (US, Canada, France and India).
When I retired, I decided to return to further exploring some of my lifelong passions in the fields of music, mantra, astrology, hypnotism, psychology, physiology, photography, languages, and sports. The vast knowledge buried in these fields continue to amaze me and push my curiosity since much of it remains beyond our human reach.
In this blog and another one on Universal Wisdom, I've shared with some of my knowledge gathered from these adventures in the hope that it might inspires readers to their own enriching adventures.
A bit about my music background
I was blessed for an opportunity to have wonderful gurus with traditional and truly classical parampara in Carnatic music- these masters include Devakottai Narayana Iyengar on veena (disciple of Karaikudi Sambasiva Iyer), Vijaya Vishwanathan (disciple of Musiri Subramaniyer), In vocal, Bombay Ramachandran (disciple of Chittor Subramania Pillai) and M.D. Ramanathan (disciple of Tiger Varathachariar). Flute, Dr. N. Ramani (disciple of Mahaligam aka Mali). Mridangam Palagat Krishnamani & Dr. T.K. Murthy. Music learning is a lifelong venture and my journey continues.
Spiritual background
Sri. Anna Subramanian initiated me into Sri Vidya upasana and blessed me with deekshanam Sri Vidya Tilakam Bhuvananandanatha. I have trained several individuals in mantra and pooja practices.
